This is a photo of a basket full of black and white photos that I stumbled across while at the Paris flea market.. I have always loved this photo, there is something so interesting about old photos. I’m so curious about the people in them. Who are these people? What’s their story? Sometimes I feel I can look at a photo and almost see their story if I look very carefully at their faces.
Everyone has a story after all. We all get a personal journey unique and all our own and what we do with it is really up to us. I really want a good story one filled with love and laughter and moments of real courage even when I was most scared. I want to be kind even to the unkind because they need it the most. I want to have hope when things seem most hopeless. I want to stand up to the bullies.
Black and white photos remind me that one day our stories will be told and this is our moment to do our best in a crazy world that sometimes seems to be working against us. We are all in this together and this blog is about leaning on each other to do our best especially when we don’t feel our best.
Quote of the day:
“I love to see a young girl grab the world by the lapels. Life is a bitch. You’ve got to go out and kick ass.” -Maya Angelou
